Tele-Therapy Services with Dr. Grahovec

Dr.Grahovec works with individual adults through telehealth only, particularly those who are parents and experiencing stressful life events and transitions, as well as adults with diagnosed and undiagnosed ADHD. She also regularly treats comorbid conditions like anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. As a parent herself and a provider with extensive work evaluating neurodivergent children and adolescents, Dr. Grahovec enjoys assisting individuals who are living with neurodivergent family members (spouses and/or children) with improving their relationships by facilitating their understanding and effective communication.

As a health psychologist, Dr. Grahovec is also dedicated to assisting those living with chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and epilepsy, and she has worked in adult and pediatric Diabetes and Epilepsy Centers at teaching hospitals throughout the nation. Furthermore, Dr. Grahovec is particularly passionate about working with women across the lifespan who experience physical and mental-health effects associated with hormonal changes and imbalances (e.g., PCOS, infertility, peri/menopause, premature ovarian insufficiency, etc.)

Dr. Grahovec is committed to supporting scientific research and utilizing only evidence-based practices in her clinic. Empirically-supported treatment modalities that she prefers include: Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Dr. Grahovec also bases some of her skills training from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), though this is not her area of specialization, and she does not treat Borderline Personality Disorder. She also does not provide couple’s counseling, but she is happy to provide appropriate referrals for those seeking that service.

Dr. Grahovec is licensed in Texas and is certified through PSYPACT to provide telehealth services throughout most of the United States. She accepts Aetna, BCBS PPO, and Cigna for telehealth therapy services. Her private pay rate is $300 for the initial diagnostic interview and $200 for subsequent 50 minute sessions, and she is able to provide a superbill for insurance reimbursement for all out-of-network plans.
