About Samantha Salinas

Samantha is a doctoral candidate in School Psychology Clinical Psychology at Texas Women’s University in Denton. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M. Prior to pursuing her doctoral degree, Samantha had over ten years of experience working with children and families as an educator and school advocate. She worked as a teacher in Dallas ISD and as a college advisor for high school students. This gives her a deep understanding of the systems and challenges that impact youth both inside and outside of the classroom.

Samantha now specializes in supporting middle and high school students as they navigate challenges related to ADHD, depression, anxiety, and trauma, though she also enjoys working with children ages six and above. Her approach to therapy is collaborative and client-centered, with the goal of creating a warm, welcoming environment where young people feel safe to explore and grow. Samantha integrates humanistic principles with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), to tailor support to each client’s unique needs and goals.
